‘Re-balanced’ version of Dick Raaijmakers’ The Destructive Character.
This version follows Raaijmakers conceptualization of ‘the destructive character’ by tipping over the book’s structure and layout to allow a new design to emerge. In the new structure, the Dutch and English version of the text are set side by side in reversed order to allow for a reading in either direction. The book’s paragraph endings are tilted to disrupt intended breaks with a continuous flow of text.
